Our Story

After moving to London, we opened Miko’s Restaurant to share our culture and cuisine with the community. Our passion for cooking and the traditional dishes of our homeland, Ecuador, inspired us to embark on this culinary journey.

Sharing the traditional Flavours of Ecuador with London

Hello there! At Miko’s restaurant, we are passionate about bringing you the authentic flavours of Ecuadorian and Spanish cuisine. Our journey started when we left our home country of Ecuador due to constant economic crises and made our way to Spain, where we lived for 10 years. After the economic crisis in Spain, we decided to move to London and soon found an opportunity to offer our gastronomy to the Latin and Ecuadorian community at a local Latin store called Los Colorados.

From there, we grew slowly and with much effort, building a loyal customer base and eventually securing a spot at the Elephant and Castle Shopping Centre. However, when the shopping centre was due for demolition, we faced the difficult task of finding a new location for our restaurant. Thanks to the efforts of our team, we were able to secure a new spot on 17 Sayer Street, where we continue to serve our community with the best of Ecuadorian and Spanish cuisine.

We continued to cook with passion and dedication, experimenting with different recipes and flavours until we found the perfect balance. Slowly but surely, word began to spread about the delicious food being served at Miko’s.

Our current restaurant, counts with a Chef who has extensive experience in preparing Spanish dishes.
